Built around the fabric
We started with what goes wrong in a modest wardrobe, then worked backwards to a fabric and a cut that fix it.
Modest dress should not mean choosing between covering properly and feeling like yourself.
Hizjaab started with a wardrobe problem most of us know well. The pieces that covered properly were shapeless and stiff. The pieces that looked considered were sheer, or too warm for Dhaka, or fell apart after four washes.
So we started with fabric instead of silhouette. We spent a year sampling before we cut a single garment, and we only put a piece into production once it passed the same test every time: fully opaque under direct light, breathable in June, and still holding its drape after twenty washes.
Why we build around Dubai Chery
Most of our everyday line uses one fabric because it solves the three things customers actually complain about: it goes see-through, it gets hot, and it loses its fall.
Opaque without weight
Chery is dense enough in the weave to stay opaque on its own, including in the lighter greys and mauves, but the yarn is fine enough that a full set still moves air. No under-layer, no lining, no compromise in the warmer months.
It also takes dye evenly, which is why our greys read as soft rather than washed out, and why a reorder in the same colour actually matches the first one.
Our craft, start to finish
Nothing here is complicated. It is just done in the right order, and nothing skips a step because a deadline is close.
Fabric first
Every roll is checked for opacity and colour consistency before it is cut. A roll that drifts from the approved shade goes back, even if it is close, because a customer reordering the same colour should get the same colour.
Cut for a relaxed fall
Our patterns are drafted with room through the chest and hip rather than taken in and let out from a fitted base. That is why our free-size pieces work across a genuinely wide range of heights instead of only looking right on one.
Reinforce the stress points
Shoulder seams, armhole joins and the top of any front opening are double-stitched. These are the three places a modest garment fails first, because they carry the weight of everything below them.
Finish by hand, then wash it
Hems are hand-finished, then a sample from each batch goes through a twenty-wash cycle. If the drape changes or a seam puckers, the batch does not ship.

These are the things we would want from a brand we bought from, so they are the things we hold ourselves to.
Honest coverage
If a piece needs an under-layer to be opaque, we say so on the product page. We would rather lose a sale than have you find out at a wedding.
Real measurements
Our size chart is flat measurements from the actual garment, not a generic table. Message us your usual size and we will tell you honestly if we run different.
A person on the phone
Every order is confirmed by a real call before it is dispatched. If something is wrong with what arrives, the same number picks up.
